About the Role

We are seeking motivated Research Assistants to join our research group at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Our group focuses on multilingual and multicultural large language models, trustworthy AI, and multi-agent systems.

Successful candidates will work alongside faculty and PhD students on research tasks that span model development, evaluation, and deployment, gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge AI research.

Responsibilities

Support research projects in NLP and LLMs, including data collection, annotation, preprocessing, and analysis Assist in implementing and evaluating models and benchmarks across multilingual and multicultural settings Contribute to the development and maintenance of open-source tools and datasets (e.g., evaluation frameworks, multilingual corpora) Collaborate with PhD students and faculty to execute experimental pipelines and reproduce baseline results Assist in preparing research materials including literature reviews, experiment documentation, and draft sections of papers or reports Who We're Looking For Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Data Science, or a related field Proficiency in Python and familiarity with at least one deep learning framework Basic understanding of NLP concepts (e.g., language models, tokenization, fine-tuning) Strong attention to detail, ability to follow experimental protocols, and willingness to learn independently Application Materials Please submit the following documents to the application portal: A brief cover letter describing your research interests and relevant experience Curriculum vitae or résumé including academic background and any prior research or project experience (Optional) Code samples, GitHub profile, or links to prior projects ##
