About the Role

Position Overview Job Title: Engineer Location: Pune, India Corporate Title: AVP Role Description • The candidate in this role will design, develop application code, implement technical solutions and configure applications in different environments in response to business problems.

• To meet the requirements of the business, the candidate will actively participate in application development lifecycle, investigate issues (bugs/performance), propose solutions, monitor and rerun batch jobs, promote re-usability of existing components and contribute to the creation of frameworks.

• They are also responsible to produce business-facing documentation such as Business Requirement document, Design Specification Document, user manuals and solution briefs for L3 request raise by Business for enhancements. • The candidate will work with other members of the team as applicable.

Knowledge and prior experience of working on Trade finance domain will be an advantage.

Job Details

Experience: of working in a highly regulated industry with evidence of managing audit / regulatory issues • Fixes software defects/bugs, measures and analyses code for quality. Your Skills And

Experience: • Excellent troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of data governance, security and compliance requirement. • Knowledge about the core tools and processes, e.g. SDLC, ALM, Jira, Service Now. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery. • Ability to balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility • Communication and collaboration with traders and service providers • Ability to work in a team, to communicate and to resolve conflicts Advantageous • Having prior experience in Banking/Finance domain • Having worked on hybrid cloud solutions preferably using GCP • Having worked on product development Technical Skillset • Primary skills: Python, SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access, Control-M and Excel VBA • Secondary skills: SDLC process, tools like Bitbucket, Artifactory and Jira, Agile process

Responsibilities

• Support Business and Operation Team in L2/L3 particularly L2 Support work on Barra One ASP solutions: application maintenance, monitoring of daily jobs, analysis of job failure, missing data, upstream and downstream delays, incorrect reporting, business queries response • Report and escalate problems in a timely manner • Ensuring platforms remain resilient and performant in line with agreed SLAs and OLAs • Support operational teams and act as a point of escalation for Incident, Problem and Change Management activities • Ensuring all platforms remain compliant with standards and policies • Owning and remediating all Audit Findings and Action Plans assigned to underlying platforms

  • • L2 Support work on Barra: Application Maintenance, Monitoring of daily jobs, analysis of job failure, missing data, incorrect reports, business queries response • Migration Tasks: Windows server and desktop and Control-M upgrade – installation, testing of platform, application and processes • Barra Development: Internal front-end component of Barra application removed and application process is handled through control-m jobs and excel files (Completed task) • Barra Development: Application changes: bug fix and enhancement work (Python scripts development) • Application Configuration changes: upstream, downstream connectivity changes and testing of application, control-m job changes • SLDC Process: Taking care of SDLC and release process of Barra application Soft Skills Communication • Ability to communicate effectively (oral & written) • Focused on providing timely and quality output Analytical Abilities • Displays a high degree of control awareness • Has a natural intellectual curiosity • Attention to detail • Strong analytical / business problem-solving skills Time Management Skills • Well organized & able to clearly present results of work • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines • Ability to manage own time Drive and Motivation • Passion for change and confidence in own abilities • Be comfortable & willing to drive process improvement • Diligent, thorough, shows initiative and is proactive Personal Qualities • Proactive, attention to detail / quality of work, able to cope with pressure and deal effectively with demanding clients. • Ability to challenge status quo.
