About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join as an SDE and Subject Matter Expert in Computer Networks in our Computer Science Department. This dual-role position combines academic instruction with practical engineering insights. You will deliver engaging lectures, mentor students, design and run labs, and contribute to the academic excellence of the department.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum Design and Delivery: Develop, structure, and deliver high-quality course material and labs in Computer Networks.
• Hands-On Labs: Design and manage lab sessions to reinforce theoretical concepts with practical experience.
• Academic Mentorship: Guide, support, and mentor students in academic and career-related areas.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with university and Newton School stakeholders to align curriculum and student outcomes with industry needs.
• Ownership of Student Success: Ensure student engagement, understanding, and overall success.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends to refine teaching content and approach.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of hands-on experience in Computer Networks.
• Proficient in Linux and Unix commands and shell scripting.
• Clean coding practices and ability to demonstrate practical coding knowledge.
• In-depth understanding of Operating Systems and Networking fundamentals, including: OSI and TCP IP models Protocols: TCP, UDP, IP Firewalls, VPNs, and encryption (SSL/TLS) Process scheduling, multitasking, and memory management Exceptional communication and teaching skills, able to simplify complex technical topics.
• Willingness to relocate and work full-time from Sonipat campus. ##
