IT Infrastructure manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager – IT Infrastructure to join the Siemens Mobility Datacenter & Infrastructure team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects related to network architecture, data center design, and infrastructure deployment , along with excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineers, system administrators, and external vendors to define requirements and deliverables.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established milestones. Identify potential project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation and contingency strategies. Coordinate and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to review project status, gather feedback, and drive decisions.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation including project charters, schedules, risk registers, and post-implementation reports. Ensure project compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant industry standards. Promote continuous improvement, effective communication, and collaboration within project teams.

Provide regular progress reports and status updates to senior management and stakeholders. Required

Qualifications

• & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of overall experience in network and data center infrastructure, with at least 3+ years in project management.
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects related to network architecture, data center design, and deployment .
• Strong understanding of network technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with data center operations , including server virtualization, storage systems, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent project management capabilities – planning, budgeting, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on timely delivery.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is an added advantage. ##
