About the Role

1. Use high-resolution aerial imagery in online solar design software to create an accurate 2D outline of a customer's house. 2. Create an accurate 3D model of the house from a 2D outline using the LiDAR function in solar design software. 3. Model surrounding trees, obstructions, and buildings that may affect solar PV production values. 4.

Create an aesthetic preliminary layout based on the customer's annual consumption and local jurisdictional requirements. 5. Complete designs within the time frame committed to the client. 6. Learn AHJ and Utility Design

Job Details

Experience: 1. Demonstrated competency with AutoCAD and/or other CAD-based software platforms. 2. Preferably, prior involvement in Solar PV layout design or a closely related field, reflecting a solid foundation in this domain.

• Develop and prepare layout drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, and other data.

• Gain deep knowledge of PV system components such as modules, racking, inverters, and Balance of Systems (BOS).

• Strong 2D AutoCAD skills, including knowledge of layer management and XREF manipulation.

• Basic understanding of drafting principles and strong math skills.

• Efficient English verbal and written communication skills.
• 4.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving, and effective organizational skills.

• Ability to read and interpret related documents and drawings prepared by others.
• Minimum education qualifications: 1.
• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil.
• Competencies: 1.
• AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
