Responsibilities

  • Provided strategic leadership for site operations, overseeing warehouse activities, facility layout optimization, and the implementation of automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Drove cost optimization initiatives through rigorous management of labour, overtime, third-party services, and operational expenditures while identifying cost-effective alternatives.
  • Acted as the primary commercial and operational liaison for key customers, supporting contract renewals, business reviews, and scope expansion opportunities.
  • Led Lean Six Sigma and digital transformation projects to enhance productivity, operational excellence, and customer service performance.
  • Held full accountability for site P&L performance, budget management, financial controls, and resource optimization.
  • Authorized third-party expenditures, equipment purchases, and operational procurement requests within approved financial authority limits.
  • Ensured full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, including Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) regulations.
  • Conducted performance management reviews, workforce planning, and capacity forecasting to align manpower resources with current and projected business volumes.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen operational governance, and achieve business objectives.
  • Provided leadership and direction to management teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a managerial position within Contract Logistics.
  • Proven track record in P&L management, Lean implementations, and leading large, multi-functional teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand lease terms, pricing models, and SLA penalties.
  • Excellent executive presentation skills for leading customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and internal steering meetings.
