About the Role
The Psychologist provides psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations to individuals, families, and groups experiencing trauma and mental health difficulties due to violence.
The role includes opportunities for programme development, research contributions, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, evidence-based mental health services. This role may also include supervision of junior staff and supporting the professional development of the team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Services Triage referred cases for in-house psychological services or referral to appropriate external agencies Conduct psychological assessments of children and families to understand mental health difficulties and risk concerns and provide sound recommendations based on clinical formulation.
Develop case formulations and deliver trauma-informed evidence-based interventions Provide individual, group, and family therapy using other evidence-based approaches Provide psychology-based crisis interventions when necessary.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and case conferences with internal and external stakeholders Team Leadership Facilitate reflective practice and case consultations for staff Contribute to the development of therapeutic-related work processes and protocols The role may also involve supervising and/or mentoring associate psychologists Service Development, Evaluation and Research Contribute to service evaluation and other research initiatives within the department - data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings at internal meetings, conferences, or publications Translate and utilise research findings into improvements in service delivery Collaborate with academic institutions or research bodies where applicable Develop training materials or resources for internal staff and external partners JOB REQUIREMENTS
Job Details
Qualification: Master's degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Forensic Psychology Eligibility for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) or equivalent professional body Relevant
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience with children, youth and families
Experience: in protection work and/or providing evidence-based trauma interventions is an advantage Prior supervisory experience is an advantage Competencies Knowledge of psychological theories, assessment tools, and evidence-based interventions Strong case formulation and report writing skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to provide evidence-based psychological interventions Ability to engage young people and families from diverse backgrounds Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Familiarity with programme planning, evaluation, and research methodologies Demonstrates professionalism and ability to manage emotionally challenging material Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment Team-player who is open to feedback and supervision Leadership and mentoring capabilities .Only shortlisted candidate will be notified.
