Senior Fuel Laboratory Technician

About the Role

Job description Perform testing of marine fuels, lubricating oils, and other petroleum products in accordance with ISO, ASTM, and other equivalent international standard test methods. Conduct quality control checks and maintain daily laboratory datasheets.

Work closely with the technical supervisor on the development of laboratory testing procedures, working protocols, and in-house testing methods. Prepare analysis reports and technical documents for customers. Assist in material/method development and support research projects.

Ensure proper housekeeping of chemicals and glassware, and assist with the maintenance of laboratory and general test equipment. Liaise with suppliers regarding purchase matters. Assist in technical audits and support the laboratory quality management system in accordance with SAC Singlas and ISO 17025 requirements.

Ensure that safety equipment and procedures are maintained and comply with required standards. Job

Job Details

Experience: in testing bunker fuel or petroleum products is required. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical skills with good communication abilities. Willingness to attend the laboratory after office hours, if required. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills. ##

• Minimum diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a testing laboratory, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
